Description
W. Dawn Dr. from Morningview to La Canada needs to be resurfaced/repaved. You did a great job with the streets south of us; W. Emerine Dr. and W. Liddell Place and many more have been repaved. We thought you would do W. Dawn Dr. next but it appears you went further south and didn't include us in your repayment. W. Morningview Dr. from Pine (which you repaved beautifully)curving around to La Canada is absolutely horrible. I travel this road very often and it is terrible on cars and has been patched up so often I'm surprised it hasn't been repaved.
Can you let me know when you will be repaving our area? I contacted you in September of 2021 and your crew was out here fixing our pothole immediately and did a fantastic job. Thank you for your time.

Hello and thank you for your request. The roadways that were selected for this Fiscal Year Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program were selected based on criteria enacted by the Pima County Transportation Advisory Committee after hearing from the public to fix the worst first (Please Click Here for Road Selection Process - https://az-pimacounty.civicplus.pro/1009/Selection-Process). Currently Dawn Drive is not on our list of pavement projects for this fiscal year. The PCI rating of this section is 48 which does put it in the poor category.
Pima County has a funding plan to repair and preserve all currently failed and poor roads. By 2030, the average condition of all road pavements is expected to be very good, with an average Pavement Condition Index of 80, view the pavement index page. The success of this funding plan is dependent on limiting the scope of the program to pavement repair and preservation only. This program does not address nor fund other roadway improvements, such as additional travel, turn, and multi-use lanes (or shoulders) nor drainage improvements, typical of capital projects. In Fiscal Year 2023, the Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $66 million in road pavement repair and preservation funding which will repair 94.5 miles of arterial/collector roads and 95.8 miles of local roads.
PCDOT road selection for the Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program is announced every year in May. If you have any questions, please call us at 520-724-6410.
