Description

The merge lane of the ramp from Woodlawn Road to I-77 South is too short. Traffic that is unable to merge in on that short merge lane is often forced onto the shoulder and rumble strip. The merge lane needes to be significanly extended.

The other day I had to use that I-77 south merge lane from Woodlawn and I couldn't get into the highway right away. I was forced to use the shoulder as an extension of the merge lane.

Next time they resurface this stretch of I-77, They could extend this lane from where it currently ends to under the railroad overpass, to where the guardrail begins

The merge lane needs to be lengthened. I think it would be feasible to do next time they resurface the stretch of interstate. It could be extended under the railroad overpass to where the guardrail begins.

The merge lane is still too short. Hopefully they'll resurface the interstate soon and they can extend it under the existing railroad overpass to where the guard rail starts.

Sometimes drivers have to use the shoulder as a merging lane if they run out of pavement. The lane needs to be extended under the railroad overpass to where the guardrail begins

The merge lane is still too short. That section of 77 is due for resurfacing and that's when they could extend the merge lane.

Still nothing has been done to lengthen the merge lane. It often causes backups on I-77 because people have to slow down to let people in.

Until something is done about this short merge lane, we are gonna see an increase of accidents, which snarl traffic.

They are currently repaving that stretch of I-77, maybe now would be a good time to extend the ramp. It should be extended under the railroad overpass to where the guardrail begins.
