This deeply potholed bridge is not only damaging to automobile suspensions. Our neighbor's teenage daughter took a bad spill from a bicycle, which ended up with a two day hospitalization for a concussion. Many Amish use this bridge daily. The potholes causes twisted ankles for their carriage horses. The bridge structure appears sound. Please schedule an examination so that resurfacing can be scheduled soon. Thank You. Chris Manning
Does Chester County maintain the Steelville Bridge or does Lancaster County? The roads adjacent to this bridge on the Lancaster side have been resurfaced beautifully. Would it have been cheaper to have Lancaster County resurface the bridge at the same time as the roads next to it?
Work began on the bridge on May16 '16. It'd be nice to know when the project will completed. (About 25 or 30 vehicles per DAY sail blithely past the detour signs and are stuck turning around.)
