S&S carriage abandoned for about a week

I understand there is no ordinance yet from requiring driving schools not to use certain streets for practice, but they have been receptive to police requests in the past, specifically in this area.

Can we request the driving schools from refrain to use the streets around our schools during pickups and dropoffs times?

Last week there were 2 JLW vehicles practicing 3 point turns as we were walking down Dexter St for drop off before 830 am. Each vehicle was practicing the 3 point turn 50 yards from each other.

Dexter specifically is busy with cars and walking parents during these times, due to Beebe and the two Rockland preschools. Minimizing unnecessary traffic at these particular times may be beneficial for the common good. Thank you

The telephone company aapears to have a temporary cooling system in their parking lot that runs 24/7. Can we check for any sound ordinance violations and ask how much longer they need the temporary cooling system?

This is in reference to the lights installed on the side of the old Bank of America building for pedestrian access at Exchange St, since the police station was demolished.

It appears the timer should be reviewed for Daylight Savings time, because the lights were not on at 500 pm yet. But the lights were on later in the evening.

The eastern crosswalk at Rt 60 and Jackson Street on the S&S side sidewalk does not have a depression to the sidewalk. difficult for wheelchair, stroller or bike to cross. there is a catch basin there, which may make it difficult or may require the depression to shift.

There is a 'Private Property - No Trespassing' sign located on the conservation land of High Rock.

The sign is is affixed to a state, federal or municipal property, and should be removed.

There is no sidewalk depression when travelling East on Winter, on the South side, across the street from Banks Place when you turn into the road for Oak Grove station parking.

There is a crosswalk with no sidewalk depression on the West side, but there is one on the East side, both sides can be seen in the photo (looking East on Winter on the South side)

Can we request the owner of the parking lost at the bottom of Cedar St (the beauty school) to cut the overgrowth along their fence on Pleasant St park side street. Cars coming to the end looking to turn right on Cedar cannot see pedestrians walking up Cedar, and we had a real close call.

There is an incredible drop from the bottom of the slide at the Beebe playground with the slide that ends at the parking lot edge. the photo shows a bottle that is about 5 inches tall. I tried pushing some playground mulch to the bottom of the slide, with no luck.

Next time you have to do playground mulch anywhere, can you add a nice shovel full to the bottom of the slides to make them safer for all children.

Can we request a crosswalk across Savin St at Fellsmere Park near St Mary's crosswalk? The sidewalks depress on both sides, just the crosswalks are missing. Probably forgotten when the street was paved over.

It seems to be very dangerous to cross to Exchange St, when walking South from S Washington St. This is one of the two major detours to get to the T station. A pedestrian's ability to see oncoming traffic, to cross Exchange is almost non-existent due to the mason Bldg construction, and the amount of public space they wee allowed to utilize.

With this being a major detour route to get to the T, can something be done to make it a little safer?

I assume the new owners will handle this, but opening a ticket to keep track of it. It would be nice if it could be fixed before the summer for safe pedestrian passage
