    As I drive around town I see many cars throwing trash out of their windows. Nothing is being enforced about littering fines in Mecklenburg County. If we increase the fines to $2500 and enforce them to get the message out to not litter and respect our city and county. Part of the "Get Out of Ghetto" campaign.

  • Caldwell And 6th Streets - Downtown Sharlotte
    The general manager of lot has been notified but signs have not been moved. Large signs are blocking the view of exiting traffic onto Caldwell Street from the Central Parking lot at 6th and Caldwell Street. The signs saying $4 are tied to the fence which blocks view of oncoming traffic.

    The North and South directional signs for I-485 are incorrect on Rea Road and Johnston Road. They need to be reversed. South is toward Pineville. North is toward Matthews.

    Walking from the county parking garage to the courthouse across McDowell I have seen dozens of people almost hit by drivers who are turning right on red or even after the light changes to green. Apparently most motorists in this city don't realize pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk. After two people were hit at the intersection of Third and McDowell signs were put up notifying drivers that pedestrians had the right of way. I would like to see these signs put up here as well before someone is hurt.

    This smell has been an issue before over the past year at times. I have been smelling it for almost a week now again. It is mostly in the early hours of the mornings. After 1am this morning and is continuous to this time 6 am. Smells sweet and sour, potent, and is quick to give me a headache the minute I go outside. 485 is being build very close along with brown rd being closed. Construction is also near the n. Meck high school. I am unsure if this is where its coming from.but could also smell.like rotting garbage in a way, the smell can't he missed in the.early morning hours, extremely strong. I smell it all over the mallad creek area

    I-77S exit6A the off ramp no lights as you go around the circle onto the local street. You can't even put on high beams because there is no barrier between traffic coming off and traffic coming on

    For almost a year the lights under the Mcdowell Street and StoneWall Street bridges have been out. Many residents and tourists use these walk ways for jogging, walking and visiting restrauants. These areas are very dark and welcome panhandlers and thieves.

    I would love to say that the problem has been resolved but people still disrespect the fact that these kids are trying to cross the street to get to the school. I did notice the presents of police cars seemed to have a impact while they where there,I understand these people are trying to get to their distanation.
    If one of the drivers hit a student they will not make it to work these people get road rage when I myself am doing right by these students the speed around me like they are crazy,I really wish more than a caution light was set in place.
    I often wondered if it would take putting a crossing gaurd in the school zone to protect these student from these speeding cars, I understand the school is a Charter School but the students still deserve the respect they need to cross to the school without fearing they will be hit by a car.

    The city came out to repair a busted water pipe in front of my driveway. They had to break up my driveway to get to the pipe and has not repaired my driveway.
    I have made over ten calls to no avail. The crew that came out said that the city would have to contract a company out through the water department to repair the problem because of a brick wall that surround the driveway and the yard. The city not only left my driveway a mess but the street as well. Red mud is still in street because the cleaning crew did not do a good job cleaning the street. Please help me get the city back out to my house to correct this problem. I feel that because I live in the 28208 area, my problem is being put on the back burner.
