People are speeding off of Rt. 10 and Sussex Turnpike onto Main Street into Succasunna crossing the double yellow line onto Main. They speed up when they see folks trying to turn onto Green Lane or they tailgate almost hitting people who are turning off onto Green Lane 90% of the time. I've seen it happen every day from Suburban Furniture!

We are seeing cars getting onto Main Street by Suburban Furniture and then stepping on the gas to speed up to at least 40 mph or more. It's much worse, and they speed terribly fast when they see a car trying to turn onto Main Street from Green Lane. Sometimes they will not allow people out of that road on the right when it's near or during rush hour. I've seen cars in front of us speed up in front of us so fast that they open a really big gap behind them. It's okay as just going the 30mph when we get on Main is enough to allow someone to get out. The concern is the drivers in front of us speeding sometimes like a rocket.

They should BLOCK access to main from through traffic and only allow the right turn onto Main to go to Suburban and to Green Lane. That would correct part of the problem and cut accidents down by 50%.

This is really a state issue and they should be contacted. I don't believe they access this site.

Another Accident on Friday at Sussex Tnpk., 10 and Main. Traffic was backed up for over 20 min. and just sat. Some people tried to drive around it. It was dumping onto Main Street and the more residential area was getting far too much traffic driving 40 mph down Main when they first got on. Only to slam on their brakes up further due to the sitting traffic.

This is an old issue. The State Dot needs to be contacted in order to change the traffic pattern.
