05/08/2024 0700 hours, CVPD hosted a bike to school day. 60 students and 15 parents participated in the event.

Along with all the aforementioned issues, the traffic has gotten so much worse mostly due to the Sweetwater School District doubling the cost of riding the bus for kids. Parents don’t want to pay the new fee and would rather drive their kids. That’s the root cause of the increase in traffic…. To heck with the extra emissions all those extra cars create! Sweetwater has found a way to make money and the environmental impact is not an issue because as per usual money wins…. And we who live in the neighborhood can just put up and shut up…. I’ve lived in front of the middle school for 22 years and the past year and a half has been horrible!! Please fix this issue!!
