I am so tired of the insidious graffiti that keeps creeping on to public spaces and private fences

I emailed Caltrans and they committed to remove the graffiti. Yet no agency cares to remove the illegal vendors. The vendors now have set up tables and chairs for their customers. Just a disgrace!

I really appreciate the concern for the graffiti. Why do people on their way to the Napa Valley have to pass through Vallejo and feel like it is such a slum? Look at the old Walmart. Paint that and the "artists" have a new palate. Can't something be done to make Vallejo look like a good city that's really trying rather than this place people want to drive through as quickly as possible? Regarding the venders, I'm really frustrated with the silence. It is clear somebody has made the decision to let the cops go after the "bad guys" and leave these people behind. But, this is going to catch up. First its dangerous. Second, this only encourages others to participate in this bad behavior. Everyone, keep commenting and posting on this issue. CITY OR CALTRANS, GIVE US A CLUE OF WHAT YOU ARE THINKING. Do something more than just close the issue when it comes up.

Sadly, this blight remains.

CORRECTION!~ CalTrans [I believe] DID REMOVE THIS. We have not been advised but some agency finally responded to the ongoing BBQ and other illegal sellers that created a traffic hazard, etc. Whomever responded THANK YOU. This looks SO much nicer.

Now to get the HD people to clean up the unshighly mess that's become of the old Walmart.

The main issue has finally been handled

Yes. Everybody, please thank District 2 Councilperson, JR Matulac for his efforts with the vendors. He spent at least an afternoon navigating all of this (for city staff) and got to the right people. Please continue to post on SeeClickFix, but know that the City is very short staffed and doesn't check it regularly. Let's hope that this push they are doing to hire more people improves communication between us residents and the people in the City who can do something about our issues. If you get the chance, I would strongly encourage you to send Mr. Matulac an email (his address is on the City's website) thanking him for the help, and if you are willing, see if you can offer other help to see that our corner of Vallejo (north Vallejo) is taken care of.
