There's a general understanding amongst the neighbors around this park that the city opens this parks gates whenever they feel like it. I've noticed it's usually open before 8 am mon-thurs, today it's Monday almost 9:30 am and it's still closed. Friday-Sunday the gates stay closed until sometimes 1 pm or later.
