The speed limit is supposed to be 40 mpg. The average speed most days seems to be above 50. An increased police presence would help slow people down. The signs obviously don't.
I live on Jones Road near Gavin Park it's like living on the Northway with exsessive speeding well over the limit the norm. Where are the law enforcement we pay in taxes to live in this nice area?
I have to agree, after moving back here ,from being away almost 20 yrs, I was appalled at the amount of traffic and the speed in which these cars go!! and the motorcyclists are no different, they think its a place to go from 0 to 50 in 20 seconds!! There are FAMILIES who live on this road..there are FAMILIES that would like to ride their bikes on this road or walk to a friends house....but no ,they safely can't because the rate of speed to which these drivers feel they have the right to go ( and it isn;t 40 mph ) if people are using Gick Rd as a cut thru then they also need to RESPECT the posted speed limits.people WHO LIVE on this road should also RESPECT the posted signs or maybe we really ,really need to lower it back down to where it used to be posted (35 mpg would be better in the residential areas )and have a police enforcement present to hand out the tickets they so deserve!
