问 Please provide the nearest house number for the street light in need of repair or mark with an identifier such as an orange ribbon. 答 blue flagging tape
Hiya, sure, thanks! The issue is across the street from the AC Hotel building on Williams, which is 435 Williams.
I also think I have figured out the issue with the addresses on these requests; SeeClickFix appears to be using "predicted address" data from Google Maps. When you say "your database" do you mean something equivalent or close to the "address points" layer in city GIS? I can be more careful about validating the addresses on my service requests against that dataset if that's helpful.
Hi Tris. As a strong user of this platform, I have found it is best to use Google Maps to pinpoint the closest address. If you look at all my requests you can see what I do. I have a dashcam that has GPS on it but nowadays if you take a picture with your phone it will also give you GPS data.
The Huntsville Connect map is not accurate, especially when it gives the "in-between this address and this address". Doesn't do the departments any good.
thanks Kratty256, glad to hear it's not just me with this issue 😅 oddly enough Google Maps _does_ have a 407 Williams -- but city GIS doesn't -- so I'm thinking I'll just pull the city's address points layer into a QGIS/QField project and use that to locate the nearest address instead, since it seems like that might match the constraints that the Utilities folks are working under. I kind of expect that this is a quirk just for street light requests though, maybe a limitation / business rule for the work order system that they use?

Hi
Would you mind double checking the address as we do not have a 407 Williams in our database.
Thank You,
