Sidewalk needs to be extended at busy curve in the road.
For people walking from main shore road, this area is extremely dangerous. The sidewalk begins at the middle of the curve in the road. If you happen to be on the wrong side of the road, and you want to get over to the sidewalk on the other side, you must cross at a very dangerous point.
This section of road is heavily used by both vehicles and pedestrians. It must be one of the most dangerous sections of road in the town/municipality. To add to the danger, there is a small hill just outside of the town limits creating a blind crest. The whole stretch is an accident waiting to happen.
It would be great to see a joint effort here with the municipality to extend the sidewalk from its current termination down main shore road at least to the intersection of lakeside road.

That's great.
I hope that the plan calls for constructing the sidewalk on the southwest side of the road so that there is no need to cross vancouver street in the middle of the curve. See the attached image.
Can you post the design here when you receive it?

Iit wouldbe fantastic to get the sidewalk extending over the hill and along Main Shore Road going south. Extremely dangerous for anyone walking ... and alot of people walk, including families with strollers. Cars tend to make moves to avoid to terrible road conditions and this adds more danger to the pedestrians.

The safety concerns are the same if not worse, involving a blind crest and considerably more speed.
