An accident on the Circle yesterday knocked down power lines, diverting tons of traffic onto US-22 and local streets. I didn't see it, but accidents are an almost daily occurrence.
You obviously don't know the circle pre 1990 or so before the signage & overpass. This is the best that can be done with a rough situation of multiple roads coming together. Accidents are now MUCH less serious, and there are rules! If it's so bad then maybe you should walk instead. This intersection works the bestg with what they had to work with.
I don't understand why they won't just put traffic lights in this death trap. It would make things much easier for everyone and would undoubtedly reduce the massive amount of accidents that constantly occur here.
DID you not notice that there are traffic lights at EVERY entrance onto the circle? Maybe you should have your license revoked if you can't see them. The Somerville Circle is amazing and should be preserved and used as a driver's training course. If you don't like it, don't use it. My mom has managed to stay away from it for 46 years of driving so maybe you can too.
Maybe you should have your license revoked for being so ignorant. I suggested that traffic lights be put IN the circle, not at the entrances. There are traffic lights at SOME entrances into the circle, but there is not a single light in the circle itself.
