I made this same request some months ago, and the traffic here has only gotten heavier and scarier. I typically drive through this intersection, coming westbound on L and then make a right turn onto 1st. When I yield to cyclists and pedestrians coming down 1st, rather than turn right on red, motorists behind me often get angry and sometimes honk. One morning, a driver actually swerved AROUND me to make the right on red, forcing cyclists to yield to him. A "No Right on Red" sign here would remove the pressure on drivers to make what is a dangerous turn at rush hour ... and help keep everyone safe. PLEASE ACT on this!
