Recent change to traffic signals at Litchford & Falls of the Neuse stranded me today. Never got a turn today. Had to cross as light turned yellow & hope traffic heading south onto Falls gave me a break.

I think my post was misunderstood. I no longer get a turn to cross Falls of the Neuse at Litchford by bicycle. Bike traffic leaving Barton's Creek neighborhood, travelling along Litchford, never gets a chance to travel straight through the intersection. The light used to turn green at the same time that people heading the opposite direction (NW) on Litchford got a green light.
I don't see a cut in the asphalt for a sensor, but I don't think that one would sense my bicycle. There is no button for pedestrian crossing. The only way to cross is to force oncoming traffic to hopefully give you some space.

I decided to give this route another try and was stranded again. There's no way for a cyclist to cross Falls on Strickland leaving the Barton's Creek neighborhood unless you wait for a car that wants to go straight across. I'm not sure what "functioning" means, but it did not sense my bike.
This is disappointing - I've been making the same loop for a decade, so I can compare past performance to present. This crossing lets me mostly avoid riding on busy roads and stick to neighborhoods for much of my ride.
